What to Expect

Every Improv Show is Different!

Not only is improv by definition always different, but our shows are always different.

We anticipate doing two halves to our show:

  • 1st Half: Short form improvisation. Games. Short scenes. Lots of fast paced fun and spontaneity.
  • 2nd Half: a long-form improvised musical. 20-35 minutes of scenes and songs connected by a plot all made up on the spot. This is very difficult and can be extremely impressive.

That’s what we anticipate… but everything may change on the fly. Because it’s improvised!

Watch to Learn, or Watch for Fun!

If you want to learn more about improv, and improve your own improv skills, here are a few things you can watch for:

Offers – any information given by a cast member in a scene or game.

Imagination – how does the cast use their imaginations to fuel the offers.

Spontaneity – how does the cast handle everything thrown at them?

Confidence – how well does the cast forge ahead, even though they don’t know what’s coming next? Are they brave and confident, or timid and tentative.
Fun – are the cast having fun? Is it fun to watch?

OR, if you prefer…

Forget about all that and just watch to have fun!

The choice is yours! But either way, you’ll have a new experience.
